Abstract

The “bladder-opening” technique can be applied to cesarean hysterectomy for placenta previa percreta with bladder invasion. Cutting the bladder lateral wall with an automatic stapling/cutting apparatus enables direct visualization of the invaded bladder area and its resection. This may reduce the amount of hemorrhage and avoid accidental bladder injury.
