Abstract
Significant improvements in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to primary and recurrent ovarian, fallopian tube, and peritoneal cancer have led to new challenges in cancer aftercare. Nowadays, ovarian cancer patients find themselves in different treatment patterns with varying challenges regarding side effects management and monitoring of treatment and medication. Therefore, the goals, expectations, and possible challenges of aftercare, including the concrete timeline and content of examinations, should be defined in an individual and timely manner within an interprofessional and multimodal network. A main focus should lie on communication with the patients and their relatives. In the future, digital platforms and specific information materials will also be implemented in aftercare.
