Zusammenfassung

Die vorangehenden Beiträge dieses Buches zeigen, welche große praktische Bedeutung pathologische Formen von Aggression und Selbstaggression besitzen. Aggressives Verhalten begegnet uns in der Klinik bei manischen und bei akut oder chronisch schizophrenen Patienten ebenso wie bei Persönlichkeitsstörungen, aber auch bei Demenzen und anderen organischen Psychosen; autoaggressives Verhalten finden wir v. a. im Zusammenhang mit depressiven Syndromen, der Schizophrenie und dem Alkoholismus. Die Frage nach einer auch medikamentösen Therapie und Prävention dieser Zustände, soweit sie pathologischen Charakter haben, muß also und darf zu Recht gestellt werden.
