Keratokonjunktivitis sicca und Katarakt-Chirurgie – eine Übersicht der Problematik

Zusammenfassung

Die Keratokonjunktivitis sicca (KCS) gewinnt mit stetig steigenden Prävalenzen vor allem in den älteren Bevölkerungsgruppen zunehmend an Bedeutung in der Augenheilkunde. Chirurgische Interventionen am Auge, im Speziellen die Katarakt-Chirurgie als häufigste durchgeführte Operation in der Ophthalmologie, gelten als bedeutende Risikofaktoren für die Entwicklung einer KCS. Der folgende Artikel gibt eine Übersicht über Risikofaktoren, Pathophysiologie sowie prä- und postoperatives Management einer vorbestehenden oder neu aufgetretenen KCS bei Katarakt-Chirurgie.
