Weltweit erkranken pro Jahr ungefähr zehn Millionen Menschen an Krebs. Untersuchungen zeigen, dass hierbei mit einer Schmerzprävalenz von 39 % nach kurativer Behandlung und 55 % während antitumorösen Therapien gerechnet werden kann. Bei fortgeschrittener Krebserkrankung steigt die Schmerzprävalenz auf über 66 % an. 38 % der Krebspatient*innen berichten über moderate bis schwere Schmerzen (numerische Rating-Skala [NRS] ≥5; [1]). …
