Zusammenfassung

Durch die gute Behandelbarkeit der HIV-Infektion steigt deren Prävalenz an und somit auch die der leichten bis mäßigen kognitiven Störungen (HAND). Die Diagnostik derselben erfordert zunächst das klinische Erkennen des Syndroms und dann eine umfangreiche Differenzialdiagnostik unter Einbeziehung neurodegenerativer und psychiatrischer Erkrankungen. In der beschriebenen Kasuistik klagt ein 38-jähriger Patient mit bekannter HIV-Infektion über progrediente Vergesslichkeit und diffusen Schwindel. Es stellt sich nun die Frage, welche HIV-assoziierten Erkrankungen gesucht werden müssen.
