The echo and responses to the first issue of the national journal of the Austrian Society of Cardiology (ÖKG) were most positive and encouraging. Of course, every new start is accompanied by technical and organizational problems like editorial interaction, Springer Medizin and ÖKG. During the last Board meeting of the ÖKG in January 2014, the editor-in-chief of WKWO laid the foundation for a good cooperation between the ÖKG and the journal. …
