„Auf Herz und Hirn“ aus psychiatrischer Sicht

Zusammenfassung

Herz und Gehirn sind 2 zentrale Organe, die an der Nahtstelle zwischen Innerer Medizin und der Psychiatrie behandelt werden. Aus psychiatrischer Sicht bietet sich vor allem exemplarisch die Panikstörung an. Das typische Alter bei Beginn der Panikstörung liegt bei 21–35 Jahren. Für die Panikstörung sind entwicklungspsychologische Aspekte von Bedeutung, etwa eine Trennungsangststörung in der Kindheit. Katastrophisieren, Angstempfindlichkeit und Alexithymie, sowie Atemwegsabnormitäten mit Hyperventilationsneigung bereiten den Boden für eine Panikstörung. Angst selbst ist ein Risikofaktor für eine kardiovaskuläre Erkrankung. Darüber hinaus gibt es zahlreiche Komorbiditäten im somatischen und psychischen Bereich hinsichtlich der Panikstörung. Im Teufelskreis der Panikstörung verstärken sich Angstsymptome durch Wahrnehmung und gedankliche Bewertung, sodass aus körperlichen Angstsymptomen Panik entsteht. Die therapeutischen Möglichkeiten umfassen psychotherapeutische und psychopharmakologische Ansätze.
