Österreichische Ernährungs- und Lebensstilempfehlungen bei Gicht und Hyperurikämie

Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Gicht ist die häufigste entzündliche Gelenkerkrankung in der westlichen Welt. Das hat u. a. mit gestiegenem Lebensstil, ausreichender bzw. Überflussernährung und Alkoholkonsum zu tun. Neben adäquater Medikation ist eine Säule in der Betreuung dieser Patienten die Beratung hinsichtlich Ernährung und Lebensstil.

Ziel der Arbeit

Ziel war die Erstellung von Ernährungs- und Lebensstilempfehlungen bei Gicht und Hyperurikämie durch ein Rheumatologengremium auf Basis der verfügbaren Literatur.

Material und Methoden

Der Arbeitskreis für Osteoarthrose und Kristallarthropathien der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Rheumatologie und Rehabilitation (ÖGR) hat eine Literaturrecherche zu diesem Thema durchgeführt. Die ausgewählten Arbeiten wurden nach Evidenz gelistet.

Ergebnisse

Aus dieser Literatursuche wurden im Zuge eines Delphi-Prozesses 9 Empfehlungen verfasst: 4 rote „Don’ts“ betreffend zu meidende bzw. zu reduzierende Nahrungs- und Genussmittel, 3 grüne „Dos“ betreffend günstige Nahrungsmittel und Getränke sowie 2 blaue allgemeine Lebensstilempfehlungen. Die gewählte Darstellung ist zweiseitig mit Auflistung der Empfehlungen mit Evidenzgrad, Zustimmungsgrad und Literaturzitaten auf der einen und einer entsprechend den schriftlichen Empfehlungen gestalteten farblich-bildlichen Darstellung der Nahrungsmittel und Getränke in Form eines Kreises auf der Rückseite.

Diskussion

Es wurden in Österreich erstmalig 9 Ernährungs- und Lebensstilempfehlungen für Patienten mit Gicht und Hyperurikämie im Hinblick auf den klinischen Alltag erstellt. Sie sollen als Anschauungsmaterial für die Aufklärung und Schulung von Patienten sowie als Information für Ärzte dienen.
