Diagnose und Therapiestandard der Gicht in Österreich

Umfrage unter Berücksichtigung der EULAR-Empfehlungen

Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund und Fragestellung

Gicht zeigt eine steigende Inzidenz und ist in der westlichen Welt zu einem beträchtlichen Gesundheitsproblem geworden. Trotz effizienter Therapiemöglichkeiten sind derzeit weder Diagnostik noch therapeutisches Management als optimal zu bezeichnen. Ziel der Erhebung war der Status quo zu diesem Thema unter Österreichs Rheumatologen.

Material und Methoden

Im Jahr 2012 wurde unter Österreichs Rheumatologen eine Umfrage über Diagnose und Therapie von Hyperurikämie und Gicht durchgeführt. Mit Genehmigung der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Rheumatologie erhielten 574 Mitglieder der Gesellschaft (343 per E-Mail, 231 mittels Postsendung) einen Fragebogen mit 17 Fragen zugesandt. Dies ist die erste Umfrage zum Thema Gicht unter österreichischen Rheumatologen.

Ergebnisse

Die Antwortquote betrug insgesamt 22,1 %. Von allen angeschriebenen Personen (E-Mail und Postsendung) beantworteten 19,9 % den Fragebogen elektronisch und nur 5,6 % per Post. Die diagnostische und therapeutische Berücksichtigung der EULAR-Empfehlungen für Gicht betrug zwischen 69 und 95 % (Median 84 %).

Schlussfolgerung

Das Wissen um Gicht, deren Diagnostik, Bildgebung, Therapie und Therapieziele unter Österreichs Rheumatologen ist gut und deckt sich größtenteils mit aktuellen internationalen Empfehlungen. Zur Verbesserung der Versorgung des Gicht- und Hyperurikämie-Patienten könnte eine häufigere Überweisung zum Facharzt für Rheumatologie beitragen.
