Entwicklung und Potenzial für Pollenallergiker

Zusammenfassung

Pollenallergien betreffen bis zu ein Drittel der europäischen Bevölkerung und nehmen immer noch zu. Das Feedback von Nutzern weist auf das Verbesserungspotenzial von Polleninformationssystemen und deren Treffsicherheit von Pollenvorhersagen hin. Eine Vielzahl an Faktoren, wie der Allergengehalt, die Pollenmengen und die Reaktion der Pollenallergiker in unterschiedlichen Regionen und Saisonen sind u. a. dafür verantwortlich. Eine personalisierte Pollen- und Symptomvorhersage dürfte eine Antwort auf diese Herausforderung, nämlich möglichst zutreffende Prognosen zu erstellen, sein. Hier wird ein Modell vorgestellt, das zu Beginn des Jahres 2013 in Österreich zum ersten Mal etabliert worden ist und das erstmals personalisierte Polleninformation ermöglicht. Dieses neue System basiert auf innovativen Prognosemodellen mit 2-stündlichen Pollendaten, traditionellen Pollenvorhersagen mit historischen Pollendaten, meteorologischen Daten und aktuellen Symptomdaten aus dem Pollentagebuch. Zudem wird die persönliche Belastung in Echtzeit – jeden Tag – berechnet und der Nutzer entsprechend seiner Einträge der letzten 5 Tage klassifiziert. Diese personalisierte Polleninformation ist auf der Homepage des österreichischen Pollenwarndiensts (http://www.pollenwarndienst.at) als auch als mobile Applikation (Pollen-App; http://www.pollenwarndienst.at/gratis-pollen-app.html) im App-Store (iOs) und Play-Store (Android) verfügbar. Durch Einbezug von Symptomdaten werden bedeutende Verbesserungen in der Polleninformation für Pollenallergiker erwartet.
