Zusammenfassung

Aggression und Autoaggression sind ein alltägliches Problem in der psychiatrischen Praxis. In den vergangenen Jahren konnten zahlreiche Befunde erhoben werden, die auf eine serotoninerge Dysfunktion bei Aggression hindeuten. Ausgehend von diesen neurochemischen Ergebnissen werden therapeutische Ansätze mit serotoninergen Pharmaka vorgestellt und diskutiert.
